Max Koch (pronounced “Cook”) is an actor/writer/cartoonist who lives in Los Angeles with his wife and chugs, Barney Fife and Grace.
Since 2017, he has been the voice of iconic Cheetos mascot, Chester Cheetah. He was also Master Mantis (and countless other characters) on Nickelodeon’s animated hit series, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness.
Max gained notoriety for his viral videos on YouTube (“Max Koch channels TONY SOPRANO” among others) as well as his hosting of several well-known podcasts (including 99 archived episodes of “Max Koch’s Mimosa”). He currently co-hosts the Guys Day In podcast with his cousin, Lorenzo. In 2007, Max portrayed crazy, cigar-chomping pitchman Hoyt Monroe in a massive, multi-media campaign for Pala Casino Spa & Resort. He has been a three-time feature on The Opie and Anthony Show, appeared in a Conan O’Brien monologue as Jack Nicholson, as well as channeled Mickey Rourke boxing a kangaroo on Talkshow with Spike Feresten.
Other credits include Nickelodeon’s first animated Christmas movie, Albert, the Netflix/DreamWorks animated series, The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants, Watchmen: Chapter 1 and Watchmen: Chapter II. Check out his commercial playlist HERE.
In 2020, Max and his buddy Brett Pearsons uploaded a 14-episode horror series they made to Vimeo entitled Red Leaf Complex. In October of 2022, they released their horror short, Untitled Treatment.
In October of 2024, Max released unto the world his first book, Max Koch Draws: A Crude Retrospective, a 284-page collection of more than 400 of his wildest cartoons, illustrations, drawings, and doodles from every decade of his life.
